Teaching Philosophy


A teaching philosophy is a self-reflective statement of our beliefs about teaching and learning. A teaching philosophy sets the benchmark of measuring the appropriateness of one's instructional methods, the scope of one's activities in and out of the classroom, the assessment of student learning, and the effectiveness of one's teaching.  


  • In teaching, more flexible system are needed to cater range of learners to develop skills for the future and enhance knowledge in every different field. This will be achieved through teaching methodologies suited for the delivery of information and knowledge. The following teaching method need to be used to enhance learning among students:
  • face to face lectures
  • groups discussion
  • tutorial
  • presentation in class
  • practical/hands-on work
  • case study approach
  • video presentation
  • problem solving approach
  • student-centered to facilitate interaction between students and lecturers in creating creative, effective and conducive learning environment.
